TOWER

From this perch we sought connections above and below, and they both led within.

BUS STOP

"I seemed to be standing in a busy queue by the side of a long, mean street. Evening was just closing in and it was raining. I had been wandering for hours in similar mean streets, always in the rain and always in evening twilight. Time seemed to have paused on that dismal moment when only a few shops have lit up and it is not yet dark enough for their windows to look cheering. And just as the evening never advanced to night, so my walking had never brought me to the better parts of the town. However far I went I found only dingy lodging houses, small tobacconists, hoardings from which posters hung in rags, windowless warehouses, goods stations without trains, and bookshops of the sort that sell The Works of Aristotle. I never met anyone. But for the little crowd at the bus stop, the whole town seemed to be empty. I think that was why I attached myself to the queue." - The Great Divorce by C. S. Lewis

CONSTRUCT 02

"But today he only saw one of the river's secrets, one that gripped his soul. He saw that the river continually flowed and flowed and yet it was always there; it was always the same and yet every moment it was new. Who could understand, conceive this?" - Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

CONSTRUCT 01

Part of a series to come. A frame from a construct that I drafted. The idea is to create an interaction or almost a story from these constructs that then evolve.

INFLUENCES

A friend put forth the project of choosing ten photos, one apiece for ten people who influenced you in some way. Those were the only requirements except for the format, 4 inch square and lined horizontally. This comes with a whole set of unexpected challenges, but I will not speak about that.

TONE

I just want to set the tone for this Blog or web based forum for thoughts and presentations. I suppose that is exactly what it is. So I hope to only put forth that which is useful or at least can lead to that which is useful. We shall see.
