CONSTRUCT 01

Part of a series to come. A frame from a construct that I drafted. The idea is to create an interaction or almost a story from these constructs that then evolve.

this one seems successful based on the selections you made. You graphically "suspended" an event just before it unfolded. But in the second "construct" I think you went in a slightly different direction that lacks the same sense through abstractness. In fact, because of this I would have to disagree with you calling the first one a "construct" because it hasnt actually entered that realm yet. The second although not as clear, begins to become this idea of a "construct", when you accept is concreteness. I think you are working in a place that your not "comfortable" in and thats great. I think this zone unfamiliar to you will be most beneficial to you, as long as you stay true to your hand and beliefs which I knowing you will never be a problem. Looking forward to the next work...

From dictionary.com:
1. to build or form by putting together parts; frame; devise.
4. an image, idea, or theory, esp. a complex one formed from a number of simpler elements.
In this way I call them constructs. As no more than and no less than pieces that come together to create a larger story of some sort. In the same way that you called it "an event just before it unfolded" it is also the event and nothing but the pieces.

There is also no intention in maintaining a consistent sense of simplicity. These are excercises and as well, they are improvisations.
